Who is Jesus Christ?

The Bible records Jesus’ life, shows us He was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, taught throughout Israel for about three and half years, was crucified, physically died and He rose back to life on the third day.

The following characteristic of Jesus proves He is the only God for our salvation.
1. He was born to a virgin without a man [Mathew 1:20b and 23].
2. He healed the sick [Mathew 4:23, 8:16, 9:6-7, Mark 1:34, 2:12.]
• Leprosy got healed [Mathew 8:3, Mark 1:41-42, Luke 5:12-13] .
• Lame walked [Mathew 11:5, Luke 7:22,]
• Deaf were healed [Mathew 11:5, Mark 7:35, 9:25-27, Luke 7:22]
• Dumb spoke [Mathew 9:33, 12:22, 15:30, Mark 7:37, 9:26-27, Luke 11:14]
• Dead have been raised [Mathew 9:25, 11:5, Mark 5:41-42, Luke 7:15, 8:54, John 11:44]
• Blind got healed [Mathew 15:30, 20:34, 21:14, Mark 10:52, Luke 7:21]
• Jesus walked on the water and the storm heard His voice and became Calm [Luke 8:24]
• Delivered the ones possessed by the devils [Mathew 4:24, 8:16, 28, 12:22, Mark 7:29-30, Luke 4:41, 7:21].
3. Challenged people to show if there any sin in Him [8:46] .
4. He had power to lay His life and get it back and He did it[ John 10:18].
5. He rose again on the third day [Mathew 28:6]
6. He will come again [John 14:3, Acts 1:11].
7. There will be signs of His coming [Mt 24th chapter]
8. Jesus reveled to his disciples who were with Him on the mountain top. His face and clothes became white as snow and there was voice from the heaven [Mathew 17:2, Mark 9:3]
Jesus rose again on the third day. The Scripture tells us that more than 500 people saw Him alive after this miraculous event [1 Cor 15:6].

And even now, in present days, Jesus is performing signs, wonders, miracles and healing the sick by directly or through His people [those who believed in Him are entitled to heal the sick].

The Bible says “ Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”. [Acts 4:12] And also the Bible says “In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God”[ John 1:1].

God himself came down from heaven to save mankind [John1:14.] He became sin for man so that, man must be saved from the hell.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, NKJV)

The Bible says “All have sinned and are fallen short the glory of the God. [Roman 6:23]. Every person is separated from the holy God by sin. According to God’s requirement, either the individual must pay the penalty of sin, which is death because the Bible says “the wages of sin is death” or he should accept the substitute called Jesus Christ and escape death.

The Bible in Hebrews 9:14, and 22 says Jesus Christ was both able and willing to do this, as demonstrated by His death on the cross. Therefore Jesus is the only way to go to heaven.

Jesus said unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” [John 14:6]

The Bible says Rev.3:20 “Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will sup with him, and he with me.”

The Lord Jesus wants to come into your life to make you holy and acceptable before God and make you worthy of heaven.

Right now, if you confess your sins and ask God to pardon your sins because God is right there before you to forgive your sins and make you His child.

Here is a simple prayer that can help you invite God almighty into your
life.
“Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner and I have committed sin knowingly or unknowingly, so far. Please forgive me and cleanse me by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and I believe in my heart that you were raised from the dead. Now I receive you as my personal Lord and Savior. I, open my life to you. Please Come

into my heart and make me your child. Thank you Lord, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.”

If you pray this prayer Jesus immediately will come into your heart. You will be child of God and citizen of heaven.

To know who can take baptism, it is good to know what is baptism.

Baptism is an expression of faith and therefore it is only for believers. The water baptism is not a religious ritual nor this is a church tradition. The water baptism is about Jesus Christ and his magnificent work of salvation in dying for our sins and rising for our justification.

Baptism means that we died with Jesus Christ to the world, were buried with Him and we rose again from the dead, and it is expressed in water baptism.

Who can take water baptism — one who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ which means those who received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, who are called children of God. [Mark 16:16] Such people we baptize in our church. This kind of Baptism is not meant for everyone but only for those who have born again experience.

Why we should take baptism
Baptism is a commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that baptism is an ordinance of the Lord. The Bible says in Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” In baptism, by faith, we are united with Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection. [Roman 6-3-4].

The word baptism in Greek means dip or immerse. And most scholars agree that this is the way the early church practised baptism. Only much later does the practice of sprinkling or pouring emerge, as far as we can tell from the evidence. Jesus took Baptism by John the Baptist in the river Jordan not sprinkling, but by immersion. But we believe this expression of baptism is union with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection happens “by being immersed in water.” The clearest evidence for this is Romans 6:3–4, which describes the act of baptism as death, burial and rising from the

dead. Which means, that you are buried under water and then come out of the water to signify rising from the grave.

The Lord Jesus told a Pharisee named Nicodemus a ruler of the Jews: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. & Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” [John3:3 & 5]

I wish every one in the world to be saved and escape from the hell.
